Sligo Cairde Festival 2025
Title: Costume- The Text of it All
Year: 2025
Medium/Type: Commissioned Costume Design / Wearable Sculpture
Description: Created for a theatre piece staged at Sligo's Cairde Festival, this costume was designed with transformation at its core. Built from second-hand fabric and featuring a hand-sculpted mask, the piece was intended to be removed mid-performance and rearranged into a shrine. To achieve this, I constructed a wire frame attached to the back of the garment, which I covered with fabric and artificial flowers. When the costume was taken off and placed at centre stage, the frame caused the flowers to emerge outward, mimicking the organic quality of flora growing at a memorial.
Title: Mannequin Dreams
Year: 2025
Medium: Commissioned Poster Design / Digital
Description: Created for a play staged in Helsinki, Finland, this poster responds to themes of surrealism, sleep deprivation, and fractured identity. I merged photographs of every actor's face into a single composite image, allowing their features to bleed into one another. The result is a visual representation of identity dissolving. A face that belongs to everyone and no one, reflecting the play's interrogation of selfhood under duress.
